Young Technology Scholars 2018
In June 2018, the YTS summer program was held at Pathways World School, Aravali. The students worked on interdisciplinary projects that integrated fundamental sciences with engineering principles. All projects were designed to incorporate elements of mechanical design, electronic circuitry, and computational programming. The students executed live demonstrations of their projects at the end of the two-week program. The program calendar was replete with interactive sessions such as the Mentorship Panel and Guest Lectures along with exciting activities such as the Bicycle Assembly Workshop, Talent Show, sports events, and movie screenings, all of which added more color to the YTS experience.

The objective was to reach out and admit curious young learners who have a passion for the sciences, technology and problem-solving. Full scholarships were offered to several deserving students on a need basis.
  • 'It was wonderful to learn and interact with people from different parts of the country and make lifelong friendships. The program strengthened my passion for research and helped me adopt a different perspective.'

    L. Gomathi, Lakshmi School, Madurai

  • 'Most of the topics and all the discussions with the professors were intellectually stimulating and I would love to have the opportunity to learn under them again.'

Karan Kashyap, The Shri Ram School, Aravali

  • 'I loved every part of YTS! I understand now that 55 excited kids who were here just for the pure love of science can actually change things and make a difference.'

The YTS Experience
The Young Technology Scholars program is a first step towards reimagining the way technology education is imparted and applied to the real world. YTS 2018 allowed and will continue to help students to visualize sciences as a comprehensive integration of engineering and technology to solve challenging problems. The engaging curriculum provided a nurturing environment for creativity, imagination, and collaboration while stimulating scientific reasoning. Our hope is that the authenticity of this experience will spark in them, both a love for technology, as well as the ambition to use it to solve real-world, human problems.
